يَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ وِلْدَٰنٌۭ مُّخَلَّدُونَ ^١٧

56:17 | There will circulate among them young boys made eternal.

بِأَكْوَابٍۢ وَأَبَارِيقَ وَكَأْسٍۢ مِّن مَّعِينٍۢ ^١٨

56:18 | With vessels, pitchers and a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring -

لَّا يُصَدَّعُونَ عَنْهَا وَلَا يُنزِفُونَ ^١٩

56:19 | No headache will they have therefrom, nor will they be intoxicated -

وَفَـٰكِهَةٍۢ مِّمَّا يَتَخَيَّرُونَ ^٢٠

56:20 | And fruit of what they select

وَلَحْمِ طَيْرٍۢ مِّمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ ^٢١

56:21 | And the meat of fowl, from whatever they desire.

وَحُورٌ عِينٌۭ ^٢٢

56:22 | And [for them are] fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes,

كَأَمْثَـٰلِ ٱللُّؤْلُؤِ ٱلْمَكْنُونِ ^٢٣

56:23 | The likenesses of pearls well-protected,

جَزَآءًۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ ^٢٤

56:24 | As reward for what they used to do.

لَا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًۭا وَلَا تَأْثِيمًا ^٢٥

56:25 | They will not hear therein ill speech or commission of sin -

إِلَّا قِيلًۭا سَلَـٰمًۭا سَلَـٰمًۭا ^٢٦

56:26 | Only a saying [of] peace, peace.

وَأَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْيَمِينِ مَآ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْيَمِينِ ^٢٧

56:27 | The companions of the right - what are the companions of the right?

فِى سِدْرٍۢ مَّخْضُودٍۢ ^٢٨

56:28 | [They will be] among lote trees with thorns removed.

وَطَلْحٍۢ مَّنضُودٍۢ ^٢٩

56:29 | And [banana] trees layered [with fruit].

وَظِلٍّۢ مَّمْدُودٍۢ ^٣٠

56:30 | And shade extended.

وَمَآءٍۢ مَّسْكُوبٍۢ ^٣١

56:31 | And water poured out

وَفَـٰكِهَةٍۢ كَثِيرَةٍۢ ^٣٢

56:32 | And fruit, abundant [and varied],

لَّا مَقْطُوعَةٍۢ وَلَا مَمْنُوعَةٍۢ ^٣٣

56:33 | Neither limited [to season] nor forbidden,

وَفُرُشٍۢ مَّرْفُوعَةٍ ^٣٤

56:34 | And [upon] beds raised high.

إِنَّآ أَنشَأْنَـٰهُنَّ إِنشَآءًۭ ^٣٥

56:35 | Indeed, We have produced them [i.e., the women of Paradise] in a [new] creation

فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُنَّ أَبْكَارًا ^٣٦

56:36 | And made them virgins,

عُرُبًا أَتْرَابًۭا ^٣٧

56:37 | Devoted [to their husbands] and of equal age,

لِّأَصْحَـٰبِ ٱلْيَمِينِ ^٣٨

56:38 | For the companions of the right [who are]

ثُلَّةٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ^٣٩

56:39 | A company of the former peoples

وَثُلَّةٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ ^٤٠

56:40 | And a company of the later peoples.

وَأَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلشِّمَالِ مَآ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلشِّمَالِ ^٤١

56:41 | And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left?

فِى سَمُومٍۢ وَحَمِيمٍۢ ^٤٢

56:42 | [They will be] in scorching fire and scalding water

وَظِلٍّۢ مِّن يَحْمُومٍۢ ^٤٣

56:43 | And a shade of black smoke,

لَّا بَارِدٍۢ وَلَا كَرِيمٍ ^٤٤

56:44 | Neither cool nor beneficial.

إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَبْلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُتْرَفِينَ ^٤٥

56:45 | Indeed they were, before that, indulging in affluence,

وَكَانُوا۟ يُصِرُّونَ عَلَى ٱلْحِنثِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ^٤٦

56:46 | And they used to persist in the great violation, ¹

وَكَانُوا۟ يَقُولُونَ أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًۭا وَعِظَـٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ ^٤٧

56:47 | And they used to say, "When we die and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected?

أَوَءَابَآؤُنَا ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ ^٤٨

56:48 | And our forefathers [as well]?"

قُلْ إِنَّ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ وَٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ ^٤٩

56:49 | Say, [O Muḥammad], "Indeed, the former and later peoples

لَمَجْمُوعُونَ إِلَىٰ مِيقَـٰتِ يَوْمٍۢ مَّعْلُومٍۢ ^٥٠

56:50 | Are to be gathered together for the appointment of a known Day."
